Thierry Mugler Is Being Sued Over Beyoncé's Costumes

Project Runway alum Chris March is suing Thierry Mugler for allegedly not paying him for work he did on Beyoncé's costumes for her current I AM tour. Mugler did indeed design the costumes but hired Chris to help him actually make them. Mugler's expertise lies primarily in design, but March's lies primarily in execution. "He isn't used to having things made in the U.S., so he hired me to be the head of costume," March explained. "Thierry doesn't have a theatrical background so I was hired to make sure the costumes were usable for stage purposes."
Note, Mugler paid March up until the last invoice, which for unknown reasons Mugler refuses to pay. Note, Beyonce's team has indeed paid Mugler for all work done.
Despite this blemish, Chris March is happily writing a coffee-table book that showcases 25 years of his designs, having early stage discussions about working on a variety of Broadway shows and filming a pilot for a reality show about him and his workshop.
“Well, I, uh - I read in The New York Times this week that I'm an ice queen, I'm the Sun King, I'm an alien fleeing from District 9 and I'm a dominatrix. So I reckon that makes me a lukewarm royalty with a whip from outer space.”
