There is only one thing I look forward to when the weather starts to turn unbearably frigid: a new winter coat! Every year I hunt down another addition to my collection. (Trust me, I know I have a problem). But unlike my other adventures of finding the perfect pair of flat boots or my requisite dark bootcut jeans, finding a winter coat gives me solace.
Maybe it's because I know that if I survive winter bundled in a wool-cashmere blend, I'll be less moody when I start to turn bright red from the blistering wind. Or maybe it's the fact that no matter what I'm wearing underneath it, a great coat is the first thing you notice.
Whatever the reason, I am eying these sleek funnel neck versions. Who needs a scarf when you have a beautifully constructed coat to keep your neck warm and cozy?
So thanks to Bluefly, I need not worry about the impending cold weather. I can survive this winter in my DKNY 'Hazel' coat, while (begrudgingly) spending more time worrying about what to buy my friends and family for the holiday season.
I love funnel coats! I just got mine (CK Funnel coat with leather trim and pleated back). It can look very professional or a casual jean and boots look. It was a great buy!
