It was Film Genre Challenge week -- as if we didn't see that coming being that Project Runway is in L.A. for Season 6 -- and so we were, treated to ruffled Western girls, a bunch of flappers, and sci-fi divas. Interesting. At least the designers didn't give us the usual "Old Hollywood" glam a la Marilyn Monroe and Norma Desmond.
But I'll tell you what was really Hollywood: the soap operatic love story playing out in the work room. Carol Hannah admitted to having a crush on Logan (the only single, straight male of the group), model Fatma's lust man. Add to the drama, Tim borrowing Christian's catchprase -- he said of Ra'mon's design it would either be "sublime or a hot mess". (I still miss Christian!)
Speaking of missing, Nina and Michael are still M.I.A.! WTF? Someone please call "The Locator" (I think this show is going to be on Lifetime too) and find these two. And while you're at it, please locate Mean Tim too... sigh.
Taking the sadly empty spots were John Varvatos, Marie Claire editor Zoe Gassner, and costume designer Arianne Phillips.
“Well, I, uh - I read in The New York Times this week that I'm an ice queen, I'm the Sun King, I'm an alien fleeing from District 9 and I'm a dominatrix. So I reckon that makes me a lukewarm royalty with a whip from outer space.”
