While Kelly Rowland, Kim Kardashian, Keri Hilson, Beverly Johnson and Ciara (rocking long hair after recently chopping her lengths off) watched from the front row, Tracy Reese sent a moody collection down the runway that ran the gamut from calm pastels to in your face color. Streaks of electric blue, sunset orange, and sunburst yellow mingled with her signature prints in muted watercolors, wild florals, and contrasting shapes on mini dresses, skirts, cropped skinny pants, and sharp cropped jackets. This is a collection you can saunter in on a sun soaked spring day, and get pissed in when a man catcalls something nasty at you as you walk on by -- all while singing at the top of your lungs.
“Well, I, uh - I read in The New York Times this week that I'm an ice queen, I'm the Sun King, I'm an alien fleeing from District 9 and I'm a dominatrix. So I reckon that makes me a lukewarm royalty with a whip from outer space.”
