Zac Posen Spring 2010: Feeling It?

zac_posen_green_gown-blueflys_blog_flypaper_spring_2010.jpg"Delicious Drama for the Modern Day Gypsy". This is the title/theme that I personally think Zac was going for with this wonderfully wearable but avant-garde collection. Bohemian tunic style ground grazing dresses were saved from being frumpy with the graphing of eye popping ethnic prints, waistlines snatched up in intricately woven cinches, sexy bold cut-outs along the back, tummy and waist and slightly comic details such as over-sized lips and hands placed along the necklines.

Floor length gowns dripping in sequins, studs, gemstones and celestial themed metals rode a thin line between looking like a 'Brooklyn Russian Dance' party dress and a Red Carpet ready gown for a Leading Actress nominee.

Special nod to the 'Charm School Mistress' outfits consisting of short pleated skirts in chromatic tones of plums, grays and blues paired with the classic rayon, puffed sleeve, high-necked buttoned up '70s Secretary' style blouses.

I'm in!!!

Quote of the Day

“Well, I, uh - I read in The New York Times this week that I'm an ice queen, I'm the Sun King, I'm an alien fleeing from District 9 and I'm a dominatrix. So I reckon that makes me a lukewarm royalty with a whip from outer space.”
