Project Runway Rundown: Setting the Stage, Plus Nina & Michael's Disappearing Act

This week, the designers were challenged to create a Bob Mackie-inspired stage outfit (read: sequins, high cut slits, feathers, and more sequins) for Christina Aguilera. In the process, we learned a few things:

1) Irina is talented but, shall we say, difficult

2) Carol Hannah is still in mega love with Logan

3)Nicolas is crushing on Bob Mackie

4) "If you put diamonds on the crotch," according to Bob Mackie, "you're home free" (I just may embroider that on a pillow)

Carol Hannah finally scored a win with her sequined, feathered strapless gown. And Shirin got the boot for sending a cheap-looking, boring prom dress down the runway.

But while we're on the subject of boring, I have to say the appearance/disappearance of Michael and Nina has to be one of the most interesting things Season 6 has going for it. Last night Nina appeared, but Michael was nowhere to be found. Last week, it was the other way around. Sort of like the Michael and La Toya Jackson urban legend, I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever see them in the same room again. Are Michael and Nina the same person? Will Mean Tim ever come back? Will Irina get smacked down by a fellow contestant? Stay tuned...

Until next week,
Jax
