For The Boys: Achieving The Rough Edge Prep Look

Are you rockin' the "rough edge prep" look yet? A mesh between sophistication (think Gossip Girl's Chuck Bass or Nate Archibald) and distressed edgy appeal (think Dan Humphrey), you can't go wrong with this look. Not sure how to achieve it? No worries... here's a quick checklist of the things you'll need to get your prep on.

1. Blazer: Instead of a heavyweight or wool blazer, go for cotton or even try one with a unique pattern.

2. Jeans: Two words. Always distressed. From subtle distressing to extreme distressing, jeans are a must for this list.

3. Ties: For those that want to rock a loose tie, go skinny or go prep stripe.

4. Shirts: Slip on a button front shirt, roll up the sleeves to get that easy but still put together feel.

5. Shoes: Try a modern ankle boot from designers like Gordon Rush or Harry's of London and if boots aren't your thing, try a pair of Chucks.

All set. Now own it.

Until next time.
