How To Avoid Skankdom: Hi-Heeled Over-the-Knee Boots

I'm sure by now, most of you have an over-the-knee boot in your wardrobe; however I've noticed that quite a few fashionistas are only brave enough to rock this look in a flat boot style. Not that I blame you as no one wants to look like Julia Roberts a la Pretty Woman.
But I think we can all agree that a hi-heeled over-the-knee-boot is worth a shot if we could avoid the 'Skankdom' factor.
That said, I've pulled together some looks that should make you reconsider this boot and how to wear it.
If you're a bit of a 'Corporate Diva' rock these boots with a knee-length pencil skirt and a Boyfriend Blazer that comes about mid-thigh. Feel free to pair this look with tons of layered necklaces and a dark pair of tights. This is a great look for those of you with boyish figures and/or extremely long, lanky legs.
For those of you who prefer romantic, girlie touches and soft fabrics --try a Baby-doll dress. This Bensoni black silk 'Katrina' pleat detailed babydoll dress is at once both elegant and playful and thus tones down the 'Skankdom' factor that a hi-heeled over-the-knee-boot can have. Rock it with a bright colored legging and take style note that this look works well for those of you with a bit more cushion around the tummy, hips, and buttocks; if you're busty you may want to belt it to avoid the preggers look and give your waistline some definition.
If you prefer to keep your look a bit more casual, rock these boots with your fave pair of leggings, a Fluxus black jersey scoopneck hi-low boyfriend t-shirt and tons of accessories. This look is pretty much complimentary to all body types and has a super universal appeal.
